How to help

You’ve helped so much since I was diagnosed with breast cancer last August.  You can all take a breather!  I’ve completed chemo, surgery, and radiation.  I’ll be continuing Herceptin until the end of October and have started taking an aromatase inhibitor – an oral medication that I will continue for at least 5 years.  At this time, meals are no longer needed.  I’m working on getting back into full blown Mom mode!  I would, however, appreciate it if you would continue to keep me and my family in your thoughts and prayers.  Thank you and God Bless you for all that you’ve done for me and my family.

I have set up a meal delivery sign up at this website:

    http://www.takethemameal.com/meals.php?t=HEMD7797&v=11714c5aec&hs=2

It includes dates that meals are needed, as well as specific instructions for preparation and delivery. Let me know if you have any difficulty accessing it! Also, we’ll be organizing a regular grocery delivery, so you may contact me if you’d like to be included with this. Thanks so much for your love and caring!

I am a friend of your Mom’s and also a breast cancer husband. My wife Ruthie was diagnosed with ductile breast cancer and had a bilateral mastectomy three years ago February. She was 61 at the time of her original diagnosis. With her lymph node involvement, we don’t know how many years we’ll have Ruthie. During her long career as an RN, she has saved many lives and the temptation is to think it unfair that she could lose hers to this insidious and ugly dissease. Whatever the ultimate outcome, I feel the experience has made us a stronget couple. If there is any way I can be useful to you and/or your family, please let me know. Elaine knows how to reach me.
    Blessings!!

The important thing is not the obstacle that tries to topple, but the force that makes us get up and change the story of our lives. And you are a strong woman, warrior, virtuous and will be victorious. No issues ever since you and God even before its formation. Life in the times of the race before even giving us a lesson. The thorns are sometimes, but we have to remember that the crown of victory the greatest man in the world (God) was made of thorns.
I am praying for you and your family, you’re not alone. And do not hesitate in what I can help tell us.
    with love, Rosangela,Edson,Jackie,Johnny and Josh

Barb, I am aware of your fight. I just want to say my prayers are with you and if there is anyone who can beat this, it is you. I saw your spirit and your will on the soccer field. You brought everything you had every day and I am sure it is no different now. I am retired and have a lot of time. If I can help in any way, please allow me to. I am sending you a big hug.

Dear Barb: I was pleased that Ed sent me your website because we want to tell you that you are outstanding, so prepared, professional, so pretty, a great example of a person who is perseverant and you will get through of this. I believe in miracles and with our prayers that we will do at the synagogue you will get better and better. “Dear G-od cure our friend Barb and let her feel healthy, peaceful and happy to share her knowledge, love and let her dedicate her life with family, friends, co-workers and people who don’t know her but admire her for being the way she is.” Amen. I just met you through my husband, through the way you write, I think you are gorgeous and I love you already. If you want me to write to you beside the e-mail let me know if you will want it to send it to your home. Let us know if on the weekend you want us to cook a meal I will be very happy to make it for you and your dear family. I work as a Teacher Aide during the week. We go to the synagogue on Fridays. I am in the choir. They always ask us to tell the name of people who doesn’t feel good for any reason. Keep strong. G-od bless you with a prompt recovery, good health. Love, Susy, Ed, Eric and Carla
